About Me

Most of everyone calls me “Evie”. I’m named after my grandmother, “Evangelina.” I love the name, but most people find it hard to say it.

I attended the University of Houston. My major here is Computer Information Systems. Previously I attended the University of St. Thomas. I am a Mathematics major at that university.

Besides school, I enjoy the cinema a lot, as well television series. It’s always relaxing to come home and fall into a story line. I also love my dog Bella. Bellow is a picture of her.

About My Family

My family is pretty amazing. We are a small family of 12. This is mostly my mom’s side of the family though. My father’s side of the family lives in Monterrey, Mexico. Even though my small, we have big personalities. Just to give you a taste of how much fun we are, I’ve posted a photo of just past Halloween. Starting from the left, is my Aunt Tere, then its my Mother, my grandmother, and then lastly me. If you couldn’t tell already, my family takes Halloween very seriously.

Below is another picture of my grandfather holding my Bella. And yes, she is wearing diaper. Sometimes she gets way to excited.

About My Goals

Ultimately, my goal is to a happy person not matter how many lemons life throws my way. But if we are talking career goals, I have a few options in mind.

One of my first and favorite options is to be a software or applications developer. I’ve been learning to code for about 2 years now. Some of the languages I am most familiar with is C/C++/C#, JavaScript, and more. I have to use these often when it comes to building certain applications I want to create.

Another option I am considering Front End Design. This has to do with creating the layout of website.

Attending the University of Houston has given me the opportunity to create my very first web page. I have read many sources and have created web pages in groups before but this would be the first time I would be the true designer. Because of my lovely teacher this I was able to create a long promised website for my father. He is an artist. The website still needs to be perfected here and there, but I worked very hard on it. Lastly, I wouldn’t mind being a graphics designer.

I love Adobe products in general. I love to fiddle with these applications all the time especially when it comes to pictures. I own all the Adobe products on my Mac. I find myself with my Mac all the time just modifying pictures and doing art with it.
